In order to develop, curate, and maintain resources and services, DARIAH relies on four Virtual Competency Centres (VCC) and working groups. The VCCs coordinate the Working Groups and define the general parameters under which they work. Virtual Competency Centre (VCC) e-Infrastructure is responsible for DARIAH’s technological foundations. It is working on a digital environment that allows sharing of community-developed data and tools to ensure the quality, permanence, and growth of eInfrastructures and technical services in the Arts and Humanities. Among the main goals is the availability of infrastructure services for as many researchers in the Arts and Humanities disciplines as possible which consequently will safeguard Europe’s role as a global player in the Arts and Humanities.
