Memories of Africa and the East Portal is a project of the Portugal-Africa Foundation developed and maintained by the University of Aveiro and the Center for Studies on Africa and Development since 1997. It is a fundamental and pioneering instrument in the attempt to enhance historical memory of the bonds that unite Portugal and Lusophony, thus being a bridge with our common past in the construction of a collective identity to the people of all these countries.
