This project made an analysis of the general content of the programming grids for two years (from September 2015 to August 2017) on the two general public channels (RTP1 and RTP2) and also on their respective websites, structuring and analyzing the offer in the main categories content, with a particular focus on programming related to cultural diversity and inclusion, that is: issues of youth, gender and discrimination (equal opportunities, ethnicity, religious beliefs, age, sexual orientation, etc); people with disabilities and people with special needs; elderly people, representations, identities and aging experiences (health policy, gerontology, social economy, social assistance); expressions of diversity, voices from different backgrounds, intercultural content and multiculturalis. Based on the results of the study, recommendations are suggested in order to strengthen and enrich the skills of the media and their professionals, promoting cultural diversity and inclusion policies through public media content, as well as promoting a positive effect of public media in disseminating different cultural expressions, diversity of voices and social experience.
