Polish Literary Bibliography (Polska Bibliografia Literacka, PBL) is a database of annotated bibliographic records which collects information about Polish and foreign literary and cultural production appearing in Poland in print, theatre, film, and radio and television, about the related events and institutions of cultural and scholarly life, and about circulation of Polish culture abroad. PBL digital database covers years 1989-2003, while its 54 printed yearbooks cover years 1945-1988. Within the framework of the grant, the year books, as well as the related bibliographies of World War II and of unlicensed cultural production under Communism, were digitised, enabling full text search. The database was comprehensively modernised, including implementation of advanced visualisation and data exploration research tools. 106589 new records were created covering years 2000-2002, including information about books (14 236) and other literary texts (28 297), film, theatre, radio and television production (1 063), relevant secondary literature (60 335) and events of cultural and scholarly life (2 638).
