Project The base of archaeological sites of Antiquity of the Republic of Croatia of The Institute of Archeology (BAZA) as its foundation uses the richness of Croatian archaeological sites. It was created in order to structure the data collected in the work of the Institute. The available literature, knowledge obtained from the Institute's scientific activity, was stored as a source of data and stored in the archives of the Institute of Archaeology. It is about creating a database of archaeological sites that is the foundation for science, culture, preservation of Croatian heritage, as well as the presentation of cultural tourism and basis for future learning. BAZA is based on archaeological sites in Croatia that are known in the literature or have been established by field research and reconnaissance, with the aim of creating tools that provide easier access to the data needed for future scientific research, heritage management and the creation of professional and scientific projects that are fundamentally archaeological heritage. The base is enriched with information about archaeological sites that are attractive enough to become a tourist destination. The availability of data enables business, scientific and private entities from Croatia as well as the whole world to access information about the desired cultural archeological destination. The BAZA created enables the visibility and recognition of the scientific achievements of the Institute of Archeology in a scientific, professional and wider community, with the results achieved by science becoming applicable in society.
